BNP Media, R&R Magazine, and Imago Trade Shows are proud to present The National Disaster Reconstruction Expo (NDRExpo), the FIRST event working to consolidate the industries whcih comprise the entire Disaster Preparation, Response, Recovery, and Rebuilding cycle!.

 

The world of Disaster Reconstruction encompasses numerous vertical segments, each with its own core competency focus.  Many, if not all of these vertical markets work together to rebuild communities that have suffered catastrophic losses; they all come together in response to a single event – an event presenting catastrophic losses requiring first-level response, recovery and rebuilding to save lives and communities.  Our goal – to provide a forum for Disaster Professionals to work together before tragedy strikes; to offer an opportunity for Disaster Professionals to learn more about each other, how they affect each other, how they can rely on each other, and how they can work together to ensure loss of life and property resulting from the next catastrophic event are minimized.

 

When discussing catastrohic events in the Untied States, few locations can claim experience equal to that experienced by the Gulf Coast region of the United States during Hurican Katrina in 2005. Given the levels of activity in recovering and rebuilding from Katrina as well as preparing for future hurricanes and catastrophic events throughout the gulf coast, it only makes sense to ensure this event takes place in the most accessible and accommodating location available in the Gulf Coast Region. As such, we will be launching NDRExpo in New Orleans, Louisiana June 17-18, 2009.

In addition to brining this event to the heart of where the majority of disaster industry professionals are currently working, we will be brining this event to a city rich in culture, diversity, and attractions. The cultural riches, sensual indulgences and unparalleled service that define the New Orleans experience continue to flourish, as they have for centuries. The most celebrated and historic core of the city – including the Faubourg Marigny, French Quarter, Central Business District, Warehouse and Arts District, Magazine Street, Garden District, Audubon Park and Zoo and St. Charles Avenue – is thriving.

 

The historic and cultural experience that has attracted millions of visitors for decades is as rich, charming and welcoming as ever. It’s no surprise that Orbitz and Travel + Leisure have chosen it as one of their top destinations for 2007 and The Today Show in August 2007 named New Orleans as number two in its America the Beautiful series.
